Stranded 2 – Pacific Time

6 October 2027

 

It is 9.05 am.

I am on the wooden decking,

Next to the hotel pool.

The Infinity Pool stretches ..

To Infinity

The rain has finished …

For now.

A breeze is blowing.

I am stranded,

Still in Bali;

I have no plans;

I have no duty to fulfill.

Perhaps my body can adapt.

Perhaps Pacific Time can replace that other time;

Shadow Land Time.

Shadow Land Time has identifiable qualities.

Rush frantically.

Keep doing Things

Keep doing almost anything.

What you do, does not really matter.

Keep frantically busy.

That way

Perhaps the Shadows will stay behind you.

Perhaps the memories will lie still.

But despite the frantic rush,

The Shadows still chase me.

The memories refuse to lie still.

I still feel Stranded,

Caught between a Sacred Promise

And a future that seems impossible to create.

Do I chase a future that cannot exist?

Am I chasing more phantoms from the Shadow Lands?

If I settle into the rhythm of Pacific Time,

Can I make Shadow Land Time dissolve?

Surely, the great trick is to stop rushing;

Slow everything down,

Let Pacific Time insert its own gentle rhythm.

I hope it happens soon.
